New Orleans April 2019

Since mom has a little more free time now, we have taken a couple of extended weekend trips.  New Orleans was planned for a while and we went during Easter in April.  We got to see a New Orleans style easter parade, with people throwing prizes from floats to the onlookers, and we enjoyed the music culture of New Orleans.  The weather was great and we did a lot of eating (beignets and crawfish!) and exploring.

Penny's speech

Hello! Haven't been posting recently, so I decided to make a post. This is my first self-post, which means this is me, Penny! Today, May 21, 2019, I had to preform a speech in front of my class. The topic I had to choose from was a family tradition that is meaningful to me. I thought about it (with a little help from my mom), and we had an idea to do baking sweets with grandma. This tradition has been going along for a while so we thought we should share it with others. I've been writing a speech for about a month, and preformed my speech today. I had to have an introduction, 3 reasons, and a conclusion. Overall, I think I did pretty well! The reasons I love baking with my grandma is because she is amazing at baking, we get to spend quality time together in the kitchen, and I love watching my entire family enjoy my sweets.
