Hot Saturday with mom

Dad was golfing all day on Saturday. We kept busy by meeting a friend from out-of-town at a playground in the city in the morning and then going to obaachan and grandpa's pool in the afternoon. What a hot (and tiring) day!

First studio photos

We took family photos at a studio for the first time today. It was a groupon deal but of course we ended up spending extra to get all of the digital images. It was a fun experience to watch the photographer pose the kids and get them to smile/look at the camera. The whole process was relatively fast.. To see the rest of the pics, click here

Easter event in San Mateo

We fought the crowds at San Mateo Central Park's "Eggstravaganza" yet again this year. It seems like every family with young kids in the peninsula goes to this event. We had our pancake breakfast, but failed to get the egg hunt tickets in time. We didn't want to wait until the afternoon egg hunt (which is actually just a circled off area with a bunch of empty plastic eggs scattered on the ground to pick-up) and have to stand in a long line to get in, so instead we got a balloon (then got another balloon when the first one flew away), checked out some activities, and headed to get a picture with the Easter bunny. Penny said that this year, she wasn't going to be afraid of the Easter bunny. We got Max ready, put him in bunny's arms for the picture, and then Penny started screaming, "NO! NO!"... and that's how mom always ends up in the picture with Penny and anybody dressed up in a costume.
